✭What is Date Auction?✭
Date Auction is an annual charity event that started in 1995 in which universities in the Gulf Coast region come together to showcase performances and raise money for CPP. In 2018, the partnering schools collectively raised $15,217.95!
The event itself is a huge kickstart for many VSAs as it provides an experience to new and veteran members to connect with other universities. Each year has a theme, and this year’s theme is Pixar! Each VSA chooses a Pixar movie they wish to represent. For several months, they’ll plan and practice to perform in front of hundreds of people!
★Collective Philanthropy Project (CPP)★
All funds raised by participating schools will go towards Messengers of Love.
Messengers of Love recruits individuals from the U.S. who are fluent in the English language, both oral and written, and who have a desire to contribute to the education of underprivileged children to teach in the Summer School Program.
Starting with two villages in Thanh Hoa, Vietnam, they hope to add six ethnic villages in Kontum, Vietnam. All students will be attending free of charge.

UVSA-GC will be implementing a "No Alcohol" policy.
We will be asking individuals entering the building to empty their pockets and looking in bags for any signs of alcohol paraphernalia. [u booze, u lose]
